If you would like to include your pet in your portraits, here are some simple, common guidelines to keep both you and your photographer happy. Check with your photographer for any additional policies that he or she may have. - ALWAYS ask before you bring a pet
- Only bring house-trained pets inside the studio. Many studios will be glad to photograph pets that are not house-trained in an outdoor location.
- Notify your photographer in advance that you are planning to bring a pet. Tell him or her what kind of pet it is and whether you will be including your pet indoors or outdoors.
- Only bring a pet that you are capable of keeping control of. If your pet is too large or strong for you to control, don’t include them.
- Bring someone to take care of your pet while you are having your other portraits taken. Do not leave your pet unattended in your dressing room or anywhere else in the studio.
- If you plan on including a pet inside, make sure that they are on some kind of flea preventative or have your vet flea dip your pet not more than 15 days before your session.
